Christmas Concert

In Concert Scott Wood in support of the Costa Rica Project

Canadian Open Fiddle Champion

THE SCOTT WOODS BAND

Old Time Country & Fiddle Music

"Upbeat" and "uplifting" are the words to describe Scott Woods and his band performing on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Bethany Community Church.  This is a benefit concert on behalf of Global Outreach Mission Inc. - Costa Rica Project.

This fast-paced two-hour concert skillfully combines old time fiddling with country gospel songs, Christmas favourites, and a generous helping of humor and dancing.  You'll be treated to one of Canada's best talents - the man with the flying fingers and magic bow.  Scott is also backed up by his own four-piece show band.  Together, they stir up a storm of seasonal music to lift your hearts and feed your soul.  This is truly a show to be enjoyed and an excellent way to begin your Christmas festivities.

Scott is a two-time winner of the Canadian Open Fiddle Contest, a two-time winner of the Canadian Grand Master Fiddling Championship, and the 1999 Canadian Fiddle Entertainer of the Year.  For seven years Scott was the musical director and played the part of Don Messer in Memories of Don Messer's Jubilee, which toured extensively in Canada.  He has won competitions and performed throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe.
