Jesse Mitchell
I love Africa and its people, diverse landscapes, and unique cultures. I have been so blessed to serve God in the Congo these past four years. Our goal at the mission is to provide care for people’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in our local community, as well as in northern Congo. Our mission works to accomplish this by focusing on caring for those with leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases at the Kimia Leprosy Center, our children's feeding program, and partnering with the local church to teach and help as we are able.

Food security is a big problem in many parts of Africa. Part of our ministry is to educate people in nutrition and sustainable farming practices. So many who come to the mission in need of help are suffering from medical issues that are directly caused or exacerbated by poor nutrition. We have a garden project at the mission where I have been teaching young men from our community about vegetable gardening (as I continue to learn how to grow crops in Congo's unique and challenging jungle climate). This garden's purpose is to demonstrate how to use the land to provide for our families and is also used as a tool to teach about God the Creator.

Through your support, we have set up a feeding program that provides food for children from the local community who are suffering from severe malnutrition, and our team works with parents to educate them on the importance and provision of proper nutrition for their little ones. Please pray for me as we work together to reach out to the people of the Congo and demonstrate the love of Jesus.

Venture Fund
We are investing in the community by creating a garden, training young men in agricultural practices, and then using the food raised to feed the patients in the Kimia Leprosy Center. It will cost us $30,000 to provide the feeding program and garden for two years. With your help, we can feed the hungry, provide training, keep kids in school, and share the Gospel with all involved!
