My call to Guatemala is two-fold: agriculture and maternity.

With my love for and knowledge of agriculture, the Lord has lead me to work with Hope for Home Ministries in Guatemala as the director of self-sustainability. I am currently designing and implementing a program to help Hope for Home's 3 orphanages for children with special needs to become self-sustainable with gardens, orchards, farm animals, aquaponics, and more.

We feel strongly about becoming self-sustainable simply because then we will not only be able to use the money that we were spending on food elsewhere in the ministry, but we will also be able to give the children a better quality of life. A lot of the foods in Guatemala are often full of chemicals, hormones, and other dangerous things to be consuming. Therefore, we want to be giving our already immuno-compromised kids safe, nutrient-rich foods to improve their lives while they are here with us.

I will also be assisting in the birthing center that is also part of Hope for Home. There, we supply prenatal care appointments, labour and delivery, and postpartum care for women from remote communities around Guatemala where there is little access to safe and professional medical services. Being with the women throughout the whole process gives us an amazing opportunity to share the love of Christ and the hope that He brings.

Venture Fund
Our ministry often involves extra expenses to go towards different projects and needs we want to help meet in the community. This fund goes beyond our own financial needs and helps us to further our ministry in ways we wouldn't be able to without your help.
