Location: La Entrada YFC camp retreat, Honduras

Dates:  Summer 2019

Cost:  $2295 USD (subject to change based on foreign exchange and airfares)

Serving:  Join a Global Outreach Mission Team for a short-term partnership with Youth for Christ, Honduras and have the opportunity to interact with over 50 Honduran youth in a camp capacity; and serve the local community through construction projects.

Description: Travel to a retreat center in the Western part of Honduras, about 90 minutes west of San Pedro Sula.  Your first day will include an orientation meeting in preparation for a two day camp for local Honduran Youth.  You’ll help the counselors with games and activities including the high ropes course, zip line, and other activities.  Following the camp, your team will participate in construction projects in the town of La Entrada or within the camp itself.  There will also be a day to experience the culture and to visit either the Copan Ruins, the Pulaonzak waterfalls, the beach or some other point of interest.

Included in Price:

  • Travel to and from O’Hare airport to the Youth for Christ camp in Honduras.
  • Travel and medical insurance. 
  • Meals at the camp, but not while in transit.
  • Dormitory style lodging at the camp (Up to 4 per room)
  • Construction supplies
  • Cost of camp for 50 Honduran students
  • Gratuity for house cleaning and translation.

Not included:

  • Optional excursions, souvenirs, incidentals, or personal items.
  • Meals in transit or snacks during the trip.
  • Price includes only carry-on luggage, checked baggage would be extra.
