The world around us is growing increasingly dark. The truths of the Gospel are being distorted, discarded, and even despised. Today’s culture adopts moral relativism as a replacement for absolute truth. It is easy for us to get discouraged until we’re reminded of Paul’s exhortation that although we are in the world, we are not of it. As Christians, we know that there is one true God and one true light that shines in the darkness.

This is a pivotal time to disseminate Biblical truth. In areas where this radio ministry is broadcast, false religion is rampant, persecution is growing stronger, and Christians are few. Refuting Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism, the Ahoban Radio Program is bringing hope to a lost nation in the name of Jesus.

This ministry is under the direction of Pradyot and Dipali Mondal. They enthusiastically report God is blessing and that much fruit has come out of their various programs:

  • They held children’s programs where Gospel songs and Bible stories were taught. Over 120 Operation Christmas Child boxes were distributed to needy children.
  • A Ladies’ seminar was recently held for 40 women from different churches. One of our GOM missionaries, Mrs. Linda Wilson, shared a devotional message from the Scriptures. The Ahoban Choir team sang alongside her with Gospel songs—and many of the women reported that they were greatly encouraged and revived.
  • The Mondals led a Pastor and Leaders Meeting in Kolkata. More than 50 pastors attended! Rev. Doug Wilson spoke and exhorted them to be involved in discipleship. The men learned and grew in the Word. It was a great time of connection and fellowship.
  • Four discipleship programs were held in West Bengal. The Mondals and Wilsons trained more than 200 leaders on how to make disciples!
  • A VBS was held in Bamanpukur with 80 children. Mrs. Deborah Baker was a special guest speaker. 18 young people accepted Christ!
  • They had good Youth Radio Listener Rally and Ladies’ Meeting in Purba Medinipur. 45 radio listeners and 35 ladies came for the meetings. They all are from Hindu families. 14 people accepted Christ as their personal Saviour!

How do we know our light is shining through our Ahoban Radio Ministry? Changed hearts and changed lives. The heart of the Gospel is that Jesus came to save sinners and give life so that we can live it more abundantly (John 10:10). This is how we know we are succeeding—when we share Christ and see lives transformed by the Gospel!

Although great numbers of people are coming to Christ, we are hurting financially. We ask you to prayerfully consider giving a gift today. A gift of $750 can provide air time for one week of broadcasts. A gift of $50 can provide correspondence courses for 10 people. The Ahoban Broadcast has a deficiency of just over $20,500. This is a critical time for this program. Your prayers and generous resources are appreciated and needed. Will you join us today for the sake of the Gospel to keep this ministry going?
