A massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on August 14, 2021, leaving thousands displaced, over 5,000 injured, and over 1,400 dead—with the count still mounting.

Since last month, the country has been in turmoil as Haitian President Jovenel Moïse was assassinated. Now, the turmoil has intensified.

Sadly, tens of thousands of Haitians are now homeless and have nowhere to go. As an added challenge, there is a tropical storm on its way.

Our missionaries are on the ground ready to bring aid! Their surrounding areas are devastated. “A lot of homes were completely destroyed, others were damaged, and many people are left in the streets while others are still looking for loved ones,” they shared. “Our Bible school students and staff are highly impacted by this devastating situation.”

MissionGO is starting an emergency response to equip our Haitian missionaries as they minister to our Christian brothers and sisters—and their communities—in this dark and tumultuous time! Currently, the pressing needs are two-fold.

1) Please pray for those who are suffering, displaced, injured, or grieving the loss of loved ones!

2) Please consider giving toward the provision of basic necessities to bring to the hurting: food, water, soap, toothpaste/toothbrushes, tents/tarps, and personal items.

Our goal will also be to rebuild homes that were completely destroyed by the earthquake.

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7

Will you give today so that our Haitian missionaries can bring relief to their neighbors in the name and love of Jesus Christ in this time of disaster and great need?
