Financial Administrative Assistant and Relations Support

Location:  Getzville, NY & St. Catharines, Ontario 

Department: The Finance Department

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Salary Range: Salary Commensurate with Experience


MissionGO is a Christian mission organization working in 50 countries of the world.  With charitable status in Canada as well as in the USA, we work cooperatively as an international organizational team.  

Ministry Focus

In this role, the successful candidate will work out of the Canadian office, to actively participate as a member of the MissionGO Financial Department in providing corporate support to our missionaries and donors.  This includes day to day financial duties as well as warmly responding to incoming phone inquiries on behalf of the organization and general office duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  (Finance 50%, General office 50%)


  • Services financial information to staff, donors, and missionaries and ensures a smooth payment process for the US and Canada.
  • Processing donations, assisting with customer inquiries and needs.
  • Preparing minor tax paperwork/reports.
  • Backup to some basic Accounting functions and needs.
  • Financial dealings with donors and missionary accounts.
  • Resourceful with an ability to anticipate needs and act accordingly.

General Office:

  • First response to incoming phone requests and inquiries
  • Processing mailings for Canadian missionaries and Canadian donors
  • Assist in helping resolve member care issues
  • Oversee the St. Catharines office space and facilities
  • Participate as a staff member in weekly prayer gatherings

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary training in business, accounting or finance or equivalent experience.

Ability to learn, use, and understand various software programs and online functions.

Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic report production/manipulation.

An attitude, ability, and willingness to manage the phone and customer service functions well.

Previous experience in a registered charity is an asset.

Previous accounting/banking experience would be beneficial.

A teachable spirit and team player.

Job Overview- location, Niagara Region, Canada

Weekdays, 9am-5pm  Some travel may be required.

This full-time position will act as a support to the Financial Department.
