Welcome to Global Outreach Mission!

Dr. Albrecht, Why Missions? Nov of 2007, play my media

Dr. Albrecht is availabe as a conference speaker"

We are an interdenominational foreign missionary organization situated in Buffalo, New York, with Canadian headquarters in St. Catharines, Ontario. We have over 500 missionaries serving in over 40 different regions around the globe.

We empower missionaries to share the Gospel as determined by their convictions and the focused direction that the Holy Spirit leads. GOM serves our missionaries as an umbrella organization, providing administrative services, training and networking opportunities, and quality representation of the missionary.

We invite you to take a few minutes to check out our website and see for yourself what Global Outreach Mission is all about. Whether you are interested in making a short-term mission trip, partnering with missionaries in the field, or becoming a long-term missionary yourself, we stand ready to assist you in any way possible.

A little child will instinctively reach out and hold your hand, especially if you are approaching a street, or you are in a crowd.  Your hand offers a feeling of protection and safety.  As a parent, or grandparent, we feel a sence of joy whenever we feel that hand reaching for ours.

The little child in this photo reached out and took my hand.  On a return visit, he recognized me and again came to me and took my hand.  At the time, I didn’t realize he and I would be in this photo.  Now, whenever I look at it, I remember feeling that little hand in mine, and realize how he was reaching out for protection, safety, love, and a friend.

The picture was taken while I was recently in SIERRA LEONE.  We have the joy of ministering to hundreds of children there.  Eight Christian schools have been built or refurbished and as a result of God's great love hundreds of Muslim children have come to Christ.  These are some of the largest and finest schools in the country.

New schools are being started including one in a village where, until recently, the Gospel was forbidden.  BUT THE CHIEFDOM ACCEPTED CHRIST, Madam Howeia was led to Christ by a group of students on a short-term mission from Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada.  Now, that village is open to the Gospel!!!

We are approaching the end of our calendar financial year.  As we reviewed our budget, I realized that the budget has risen to $52,000.  That is just a little more than last year at this time. This increase is due to expanding programs and increasing challenges around the world.

As I have thought about the little boy holding my hand, I realized I need you to hold my hand.  I need you to help.  In Exodus 17 we read how Aaron and Hur held up the arms of Moses so he could “hold up his hands” and do the work of God.

The little boy in Sierra Leone needs us to hold his hand – and I need you to hold up the hands of every Global Outreach Mission missionary so we can do the work God has called us to accomplish.

IN THE REPUBLIC OF CONGO, Pioneer Christian Hospital is a miracle.  We are developing a life-changing HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment ministry, a government-sponsored nurses training program, and we are even in the prosses of expansion!  Meanwhile a Christian radio station is on the agenda.

IN FRANCE, Samuel and Carol Foucachon have established a new church in Bordeaux.  They have been unable to find a permanent location, but in the meantime they have been blessed with the oppertunity to meet in the chapel of a Catholic school, free of charge!  Students from the school have been attending the services and recently one of them was converted and baptized.  Her name is Xin.  She is the second Chinese student, from the school, to accept Christ. Keep them in your prayers because they need our prayers to keep the charge for Christ.

IN QUEBEC, CANADA we have been able to place our radio broadcast – La Voix de l’Evangile on station CJRS in Montreal every Saturday at 6:45 p.m.  We have prayed for years to get on a station in Montreal, and now this prayer is answered – yes!  The French program is also broadcast on the Internet and we recently heard from a pastor in Kenya, Africa, who listens.

IN FRANCE, our broadcast has been accepted by two other stations, and also by a station in Boston, Massachusetts – listened to by French-speaking Haitians.

IN BRAZIL, Barry and Vania Hall have established a ministry in a jungle town on the border of Columbia.  It is dangerous; a brutal murder occurs every day and drug traffickers are common, along with prostitution and all sorts of spiritual battles that could discourage anyone but the Halls.  Recently, along with missionaries Tom and Diana Turley, they joined together in a special teaching seminar and are gaining a foothold.

Our national resident missionary to THE ARAB WORLD reports that a church base has been established in Iraq, and through Gospel Tracts and personal contacts, they are seeing people finding Christ.

You may recall I wrote you a few months ago about the ministry center we have developed in COSTA RICA.  Good progress has been made on the Retreat Center at El Jardin in construction and remodeling, but also evangelism, Daily Vacation Bible School for children and a new church operating on the grounds.

IN LONDON, ENGLAND, Idella Simmons is ministering to Muslim women and has been encouraged with a good response.  You can scarcely imagine how difficult it is for a woman to make this step.

IN INDIA, missionary Greg Constable has established the King’s College.  This year, four of the graduating class wrote entrance exams to the Hyderabad Central University, and were accepted into this prestigious institution.  Pray for these students as they study and then are better equipped to serve the Lord in India.

Then in UKRAINE, missionary Doug Britton has had two of his former students enter into fulltime ministry.  This is so thrilling to see God bless the lives of those we seek to reach and train, and then call them into service.  One of them is most unusual:

Igor Fedorovich was an IV drug user – spent time in jail and then found the Lord.  Later, he graduated from Seminary and is now pastoring a church on the Black Sea.  Is that not a great victory over darkness?

So perhaps now you can see why I need you to hold my hand?  You can see why I need brothers and sisters in Christ to hold up our arms.  I am sure as you read this, you realize how each of these dear servants of God in a variety of places need all of us to hold up their arms – to encourage, to pray for and to let them know we care.

You and I have heard it so often we tend to take it for granted – we can PRAY. . . we can GIVE. . . or we can GO.  We can all do something.

This month, I need your help so we can meet the calendar financial year end need of $52,000.  Whatever you can give will help.  And your gift will enable us to:

HOLD UP THE ARMS OF GODLY MISSIONARIES AROUND THE WORLD SO THEY CAN DO THE WORK GOD HAS DIRECTED THEM TO DO!

And, yes, sometimes as I learned in Sierra Leone, we can do something as simple as hold a child’s hand.

So many people around the world know nothing of events like Thanksgiving, or Christmas – as you make your holiday plans, remember the greatest gift is the salvation you have received because of Jesus Christ – and then do what you can to share this free gift with people who have never heard that He loves them and died for them.

Will you hold my hand?  Thank you for your partnership in prayer and financial support.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Brian Albrecht, President

GLOBAL OUTREACH MISSION, INC.

P.S. Your gift will help me extend a hand to those who need to hear about Jesus Christ.  Your gift helps me take the hand of the little boy who took mine in Sierra Leone.  Thank you for helping me extend a hand in Jesus name.  May God richly bless you!
