Kenneth & Tina Achidri
We are the Achidri family. We are called to love and disciple families in Uganda. In our area, families are broken out of the desperation caused by poverty, malnutrition, illness, and witchcraft. We believe God has designed the construct of the family to nurture discipleship. Our vision is to empower families to be self-sustainable, freed from the grip of poverty, and come to know the love of the Savior. The Gospel restores all things.

We served the community of Bukaya, just outside the city of Jinja, for almost 10 years. We recently moved to a bit more remote village called Kikubo. It is a heavily Muslim community. We bring the Gospel to our community through relationship building, Farming God's Way, and Bible study.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus spoke about harvest in response to the disciples' question regarding the Samaritan woman at the well when her testimony brought the town to the feet of Jesus. He explained in agricultural terms, "the fields are ready for the harvest." The harvest is the "gathering of the fruit of eternal life." To receive a harvest, the farmer prepares the soil, digs holes, pulls weeds and thorns, and prays for rain, and eventually a crop grows. Jesus' description of such investment of sowing into human hearts is now defined by the church as discipleship. Jesus knew Samaria was ready to receive the Gospel, and he led his disciples there. Similarly, we have been directed by the Lord to this very place- Kikubo. When we prepare the "soil," literally and figuratively, we are preparing a place where the Gospel truth can be heard. Kikubo is ready for the harvest.

God weaves our investments into His harvest in HIs time.  Is God calling you to invest in His harvest and bring hope to the families of Kikubo?
