The Treehouse Program began with forty girls who were either orphaned or had families who were unable or unwilling to provide for them. These girls come to the “Treehouse”, a building in the center of the village, where they receive food, clothing, education, compassion, support, and hear the message that Jesus loves them. Following the Ebola crisis, it quickly became apparent that there was a need for “Treehouses” in many more communities to provide the necessary support for the growing number of orphans in this disease-ravaged country.
Using our existing school sites to keep costs to a minimum, we were able to reach out to orphans within the communities and provide them with food, clothing, and tuition. Counseling and after-school support were also offered. In this way, we were able to take our current working Treehouse Program and expand it to meet the needs of not just 40 at-risk children but 155 children. But we need your help. Thank you for prayerfully considering joining us.
