Introduction

This policy applies to all information received by MissionGO both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the  MissionGO, MissionGO Radio, MissionGO Media or Global Outreach Mission, Inc. website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information obtained through our website, forms, applications, events, communications, radio services, and other services.

By using our website, apps, radio stream, or by providing information to MissionGO, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as:

  • Name.
  • Mailing address.
  • Email address.
  • Telephone number.
  • Mobile phone number.
  • Church affiliation.
  • Ministry information.
  • Donation information.
  • Volunteer, missionary, or ministry application information.
  • Other information submitted through forms, registrations, communications, or support requests.

We may also automatically collect certain information when you visit our website or use our services, such as:

  • IP address.
  • Browser type.
  • Device information.
  • Operating system.
  • Website usage data.
  • Referring website information.
  • Cookies and similar technologies.

When you connect to our radio stream, your IP address may be sent to our radio service provider to track listening trends and provide royalty reports to licensing bodies. Once received, your IP address is immediately anonymized, deleted, and becomes untraceable.

For the MGO Radio iOS App, no user data is collected when the app is installed or launched on your device. For the MGO Radio Android App, no user data is collected during normal use. The Android App may monitor the phone’s state, such as idle, in call, or call ended, to provide audio control during phone app use. The Android App also requires access to local storage to store configuration data for faster launch times.

How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and requests.
  • Process donations and contributions.
  • Communicate ministry updates, announcements, prayer letters, and general appeals.
  • Register participants for events and training programs.
  • Process missionary, volunteer, or ministry applications.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Improve our website, apps, and services.
  • Maintain organizational records.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Send text messages or email communications when consent has been provided.
  • Provide radio listening analytics and required royalty reporting.

Email, Text, and Mobile Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages or email communications, MissionGO may send messages about ministry updates, event reminders, mission trip information, training notifications, application updates, organizational announcements, and other ministry-related communications.

SMS consent and email consent are collected separately and are not a condition of making a donation, receiving services, or participating in ministry activities.

No mobile information or email information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to deliver messaging services, customer support, or other services on our behalf.

When We Share Information

MissionGO does not sell, rent, share, or trade personal information, and we do not send mailings on behalf of other organizations using personal information we receive.

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With trusted service providers who help us with donation processing, website hosting, email communications, text messaging, data storage, customer support, and radio streaming services.
  • When required to comply with applicable laws or regulations.
  • To respond to lawful requests from government authorities.
  • To protect our legal rights.
  • To prevent fraud or security threats.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of assets.

Service providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf. Information is not stored or accessed after the time of service.

To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, personal information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

Your Choices

You may request updates or corrections to your personal information, request removal of your information in writing, opt out of email communications by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, opt out of text messages by replying STOP, or contact us with questions about your information.

Your information will be kept as part of our files unless you request in writing that it be removed. If you make a written request, as much identifying information as possible will be removed from our records, subject to any legal or administrative requirements.

If you do not wish to receive email or mail communications, you may request removal from general mailings by emailing [email protected] and typing “REMOVE” in the subject line and your name in the body of the email. After that, you will be removed from general mailings, and only letters from missionaries whom you support will be sent to you.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality, analyze traffic, remember preferences, and enhance your experience.

You can usually set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the website may not work properly if you do so.

Data Security

MissionGO does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without appropriate parental consent. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child without proper authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
