When you connect to our radio stream, your IP address may be sent to our radio service provider to track listening trends and provide royalty reports to licensing bodies. Once received, your IP address is immediately anonymized, deleted, and becomes untraceable.

For the MGO Radio iOS App, no user data is collected when the app is installed or launched on your device. For the MGO Radio Android App, no user data is collected during normal use. The Android App may monitor the phone’s state, such as idle, in call, or call ended, to provide audio control during phone app use. The Android App also requires access to local storage to store configuration data for faster launch times.

  • Measure marketing performance and website analytics.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

Email, Text, and Mobile Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages, MissionGO may send messages about ministry updates, event reminders, mission trip information, training notifications, application updates, organizational announcements, and other ministry-related communications within the scope of your consent.

If you separately opt in to receive email communications, MissionGO may send email communications within the scope of that consent.

SMS consent and email consent are collected separately and are not a condition of making a donation, receiving services, or participating in ministry activities.

By opting in to receive SMS/text messages, you confirm that:

  • You are the authorized user of the phone number provided.
  • You consent to receive SMS/text messages from us.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency may vary based on your interaction with us.

Opt-Out Instructions: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. You will receive a confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

Help Instructions: For help, reply HELP, or contact us at helpdesk@missiongo.org.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Protection of Mobile Information and Messaging Consent

MissionGO does not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers, mobile information, SMS/text messaging opt-in data, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose this information to contracted service providers solely as necessary to operate MissionGO’s messaging program, administer MissionGO campaigns, provide related support, and deliver messages on our behalf. These providers may use the information only to perform the services we authorize. They may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes, independently contact subscribers for their own purposes, or transfer it to other organizations for their marketing.

Access by these service providers does not transfer subscribers’ consent or authorize independent use of their information.

These protections apply notwithstanding any other information-sharing provision in this Privacy Policy.

MissionGO does not share email addresses with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Contracted providers may process email addresses only as necessary to provide authorized services on MissionGO’s behalf.

When We Share Information

MissionGO does not sell or rent personal information for money, and we do not send mailings on behalf of other organizations using personal information we receive. We disclose personal information only as described below, subject to the protections for mobile information and messaging consent stated in this policy.

Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly to include certain advertising-related disclosures. To the extent applicable, we may share limited information with advertising partners to deliver targeted or interest-based advertising as described in this policy.

Any information disclosed to advertising or marketing partners for targeted or interest-based advertising excludes mobile phone numbers, mobile information, SMS/text messaging opt-in data, and messaging consent. We also do not disclose email addresses to these partners for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With trusted service providers who help us with donation processing, website hosting, email communications, text messaging, data storage, customer support, radio streaming, analytics, customer relationship management, and campaign administration on our behalf.
  • With advertising and marketing partners, where applicable, subject to the exclusions and restrictions stated in this policy.
  • When required to comply with applicable laws or regulations.
  • To respond to lawful requests from government authorities.
  • To protect our legal rights.
  • To prevent fraud or security threats.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law and the protections for mobile information and messaging consent stated in this policy.

Service Providers and Contracted Campaign Managers

Service providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

MissionGO may engage contracted providers to oversee particular MissionGO campaigns involving subscribers who have consented to receive the relevant communications. These providers act on MissionGO’s behalf and may access subscriber information only as necessary to administer the authorized campaign. They may not sell, rent, retain for their own use, or use subscriber information for independent outreach or another organization’s marketing.

When their services end, providers must return or securely delete personal information in their possession, except where retention is legally required. Any information retained for legal requirements remains subject to confidentiality and use restrictions.

To the extent donations are processed through a third-party service provider, personal information will be used only for purposes necessary to process the donation.

Your Choices

You may:

  • Request updates or corrections to your personal information.
  • Request removal of your information in writing.
  • Opt out of email communications using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
  • Contact us with questions about your information.

We retain personal information in accordance with the Data Retention section below. If you make a written removal request, we will remove as much identifying information as reasonably possible, subject to legal obligations and legitimate administrative requirements.

If you do not wish to receive general email or mail communications, you may request removal from general mailings by emailing helpdesk@missiongo.org with “REMOVE” in the subject line and your name in the body of the email.

Removal from general mailings does not automatically stop letters from missionaries whom you support. To request that those communications also stop, please specify that in your request.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide services.
  • Maintain our operations.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Resolve disputes.
  • Enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is maintained. Removal requests are handled as described in the Your Choices section above.

Cookies and Tracking

Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality, analyze traffic, remember preferences, and enhance your experience.

We may also work with third-party vendors, such as analytics and advertising partners, that use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on our websites and other websites to provide interest-based or targeted advertising. These activities are subject to the information-sharing restrictions stated in this policy, including the protections for mobile information, SMS/text messaging opt-in data, and messaging consent.

You can usually set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of our websites may not work properly if you do so.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

Our websites and services may contain links to third-party websites. MissionGO is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those sites. You should review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

International Visitors

If you access our websites or services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using our websites or services, you consent to such processing where permitted by law.

Children's Privacy

MissionGO does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without appropriate parental consent. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child without proper authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Changes to This Policy

MissionGO may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our websites or services after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
