Please don’t ever close this school," the students plead. Sierra Leone’s civil war once shut down 1,270 primary schools, leaving 67% of school-aged children without education. Today, in rural Mokanji, education is rebuilding hope—and a bridge to the future.

Together, we can be sure no child crosses the bridge to the future alone.

When you give access to education:

  • You give children the chance to break free from poverty and illiteracy.
  • You plant seeds of faith in classrooms where praise songs and Bible lessons fill each morning.
  • You bring hope to families who dream of a better future for their children but can’t afford to make it happen alone.

The need is urgent.

Many students arrive at school hungry, without proper supplies, and unsure if their family can afford next term’s fees. Yet, they come. Eager to learn. Excited to grow. And looking forward to building a future beyond the hardships they face.

Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls. You’re changing the trajectory of entire families and communities:

  • Children from Muslim homes hear the Gospel daily through Bible lessons, worship, and Scripture memory.
  • Girls once destined for a life of hardship now dream of becoming nurses, teachers, and leaders empowered by knowledge and faith.
  • Students who once sat silently in overcrowded classrooms now thrive in environments where teachers show up, care deeply, and point them to Christ.
  • Families burdened by poverty find hope knowing their children have a chance at a future they never had.

We’ve already seen how education, grounded in Biblical truth, transforms lives:

A parent of some of our students says, “We are so thankful for your school! If it were not for IPSS, we would have to send our daughters to another town so they could receive a good education. That would be too difficult for us.”

TAKE ACTION:

Sponsor a Girl Monthly: $45

Surround a high-school girl with Biblical teaching and love, meet tangible needs like school supplies and daily nourishment, and take the journey with her across the bridge to her future.

Provide Monthly Internet Support in School Classrooms: $38

Keep students connected with steady, reliable internet access at school so they can complete their homework, attend virtual classes, and access the resources they need to thrive. In a region where connectivity is limited but education is a pathway to possibility, your support for internet on campus opens the doors to learning.

Support Dedicated Teachers: $100 per month

With increased salaries and essential support, Christian educators can commit to staying in Mokanji, where qualified teachers are hard to find but desperately needed.

OR...

Invest in Renovations and Furnishings: $30, $50, $100, $200, $5,000, One-time Gift, or spread your gift over time.

With your help, we can create safe, lasting spaces where children can learn, grow, and hear the Gospel every day.

Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.” - Proverbs 4:13

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
