For more than 30 years, communities in eastern DRC have suffered the devastating effects of armed conflict, ethnic violence, and deep trauma. Hope and Peace International, Inc. is a faith‑based ministry working to restore peace, dignity, and unity through holistic, Christ‑centered healing initiatives.

Our Mission

To bring lasting peace, reconciliation, and emotional healing to conflict‑affected communities through trauma-informed care, peace education, spiritual renewal, and community-supported programs.

What We Do

• Trauma Healing & Mental Health Support
  Community-based workshops, counselling groups, and pastoral training to help survivors of violence, widows, orphans, and displaced families heal emotionally and spiritually.

• Reconciliation & Peacebuilding
  Dialogue forums that rebuild trust between divided groups, including victims, former combatants, and local leaders.

• Peace Education
  Biblically grounded training for children, youth, and adults on non‑violence, conflict resolution, and unity.

• Social & Livelihood Support
  Assistance for widows, orphans, and the most vulnerable; nutrition support in refugee camps; and community-building initiatives that restore dignity and hope.

• Leadership Development
  Training pastors, elders, and community facilitators to sustain long-term peace and healing.

Why It Matters

Eastern DRC remains one of the world’s most fragile regions. Violence and trauma have shattered families, churches, and social structures. Communities urgently need not only material support but also emotional, relational, and spiritual restoration.
