Prameela’s early childhood was marked by instability and hardship. She lost her father at a young age. After her mother remarried, the family survived by traveling to villages and performing risky entertainment acts involving rope stunts, fire tricks, and trained monkeys. Though still a small child, Prameela was forced to perform these dangerous stunts. The physical strain and fear left deep scars.
Tragedy struck again when her mother passed away. Her stepfather abandoned her, leaving Prameela alone on the streets. With no protection, food or safe shelter, she began begging to survive.
A local pastor found her in a desperate condition and alerted our team. She was rescued and brought into the children’s home, where she finally experienced safety. Over time, through counselling, patient care, regular meals, and consistent encouragement, her trauma slowly began to heal.
Today, Prameela is in 7th grade and progressing well in her studies. Remarkably, the very physical skills she was once forced to perform out of fear have now become her strength. With proper training and guidance, she has developed her athletic ability and is winning medals in gymnastics and competitions. What once caused pain has become a testimony of courage and growth.
Prameela now lives in safety, surrounded by mentors who remind her that she is valued and gifted by God.
