We are Nazif and Aimée Zimari, and God has blessed us with two children: a daughter named Hosanna and a son named Elishama. Having been born and raised in a predominantly Muslim community and area, the Lord placed on my heart the burden of bringing His message to the Muslim Tem people in the central region of Togo and to other surrounding animist people groups.

Our ministry mainly consists of evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and training. We also carry out a ministry of generosity towards persecuted and vulnerable disciples, particularly children and the elderly. Each week we have secret evangelistic programs in environments hostile to the Christian faith, organize Bible studies in house cells and online groups, strengthen believers, and visit those who are persecuted for their faith in Jesus, praying for them and supporting them in various ways as we are able.

More than half of the local population lives below the poverty line on less than one US dollar a day. This situation plunges families into economic hardship. Added to this is the recurring persecution of Christian converts. New believers who leave Islam and animism are often persecuted for their faith, driven from their families and communities, and subjected to numerous physical attacks. Despite these trials, the Lord remains faithful, for we see many persecuted disciples remaining steadfast in their faith and not hesitating to share the Gospel with other unbelievers. They are greatly encouraged by our ministry and by our presence alongside them in difficult times.

This year, we are working to train 50 leaders in evangelization among unreached people groups and pay for the schooling of 23 children of persecuted Christians. With the rainy season about to begin, we have urgently launched the "A Roof for Jesus" project. This micro-project aims to provide roofs for two places of worship, one located under trees and the other in the courtyard of a house, built with rudimentary materials. With the help and contributions of local believers—despite their difficult living conditions—walls have already been erected. Only the roofs remain.

As we look ahead to the future, we want to spread Christianity in these communities and push back animism and Islam, with authentic Christian disciples and leaders who identify with Christ and create movements everywhere.

Ongoing monthly support and special gifts help us to continue our church planting programs, support the children of persecuted Christians, and organize leadership training programs to equip local leaders with evangelistic and discipleship materials.
