Dominican Republic Trip - Summer 2026

Trip Location: San Pedro, Dominican Republic

Trip Dates: May 21-28, 2026

Trip Length: 8 days

Trip Cost: $1,250 USD + Airfare*

Get ready for an unforgettable opportunity to serve, grow, and make a real impact! On this mission trip to the Dominican Republic, we’ll be partnering with two incredible ministries: Lily House and Las Palmas Christian School, where MissionGO missionaries Clay and Karleigh Thacker previously served.

Lily House is an anti-trafficking ministry that empowers at-risk teen girls by providing a safe space, education, and job training. We'll have the chance to connect with these brave young women through devotionals, games, and hands-on workshops.

At Las Palmas—a bilingual Christian school ranked among the top 25 in the country—we’ll help lead spiritual emphasis activities for middle and high schoolers and engage in campus life.

We’ll also be partnering with a fun soccer ministry and a dynamic local church in San Pedro, with the possibility of serving at one of their church plants. Depending on the team’s skills and strengths, we'll jump into youth group nights, soccer practices, and various work projects—all with the goal of sharing God’s love and building lasting relationships.

This trip is family friendly and older children and teens are welcome to join with a parent or guardian.

*Please note that prices do not include airfare transportation to country of service. Ticket prices fluctuate often due to fuel prices, demand, and dates. Flight prices to Central America/the Caribbean generally range from $400 to $900 USD. Airplane tickets will be purchased a few months before each trip. MissionGO strives to find the best routes and rates available.

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
