The acquisition of the 13 lots neighboring the Kimia Leprosy Center marks a significant milestone in God's provision and faithfulness. What once seemed like an impossible and complex process is now complete through persistent effort, prayer, and generous support. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has prayed and given to make this moment possible. Now, as God opens new doors, we believe the time has come to take the next step.

Build the Wall. Secure the Future.

With the land secured, we are ready to begin Phase 1 of a project that will provide security, stability, and room for future ministry expansion at the Kimia Leprosy Center.

Phase 1: Laying the Foundation

This is hands-on, physically demanding work that requires tremendous effort and dedication. Local workers will:

  • Construct a temporary bamboo fence surrounding the entire property
  • Hand-make 40,000 bricks from termite-hill clay and dry them under protective shelters
  • Gather and prepare wood needed to fire the bricks
  • Build and operate four brick kilns, each producing 10,000 bricks
  • Stockpile sand and gravel from the river and purchase cement for construction
  • Build the foundation, reinforcements, and permanent perimeter wall that will secure the Kimia Center property

This wall will establish a permanent boundary, provide security for those living and ministering at Kimia, and help ensure the long-term future of this vital ministry.

How You Can Help

To complete this phase, two immediate needs must be met:

Purchase Two Motorized Wagons: $6,000 USD

These wagons will transport bricks, sand, gravel, wood, and other building materials throughout the construction process.

  • Two wagons at $3,000 each
  • 60 people giving $100 can help meet this need

Build the Perimeter Wall: $10,000 USD

The materials and preliminary construction work required to begin building the wall

  • Foundation work, materials, and wall construction
  • 100 people giving $100 can help make this possible

Join the Work

Just as Nehemiah rallied God's people to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, we invite you to partner with us through prayer and giving as we build a wall that will protect and strengthen the ministry at Kimia for generations to come.

Whether your gift helps purchase a wagon, make bricks, or construct the wall itself, every contribution moves this project forward and helps create a secure foundation for ongoing ministry among some of the most vulnerable people in the Congo.

Please pray with us that God will provide every resource needed, guide local authorities in granting approvals, protect those carrying out the construction work, and use this expansion to advance His kingdom throughout the region.

"The God of heaven will give us success. We His servants will start rebuilding..." (Nehemiah 2:20).

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
