We have been going through the process of becoming foster parents to a sibling pair that needed a home.  We are so excited to share that they came home to stay in the beginning of August!

We cannot share pictures of their faces publicly yet, but we would love to introduce you to Mercy and Elvin.  The kids have been so brave as they adjust to a new home, a new church, and a new school, and God has been showering us with His love and peace in this transition.  We would love your prayers for Mercy and Elvin as they start the new school year and for Eddy and I for wisdom in parenting and that God would open doors for adoption as well.

Doubling the size of our family has come with some financial costs, and if you would like to help, that would be a big blessing.  We have outlined some of those estimated financial needs below.

  • Preparing two bedrooms (adding a wall, furniture, etc.) - $3,000
  • Christian School for 2025-2026 school year - $4,000
  • Medical Needs (private health insurance, glasses, doctors’ appointments) - $5,000
  • General Needs (clothes, books, shoes, toys, etc) - $3,000

The kids came to our home with very little and the clothes they did have they are growing out of, so we have been doing a lot of shopping!  As new parents, we are learning all the different things that kids need and the kids are enjoying having their own rooms for the first time and belongings that are theirs to keep. Please join us in praying that the medical needs of the kids will be resolved easily without the need for too much intervention.

If you would like to help with some of these needs, you can give online here directly to the Family Expansion Fund—just click the Give button above.

Thank you so much for your prayers for us, for our ministry, and for our family.  God has been so faithful to us.  It has been clear that His hand has been in this process from the very beginning and we are so thankful for answered prayers!

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
