God opened the door for us to begin ministry with Word of Life in 2003, leading short-term mission teams around the world. Over the years, we have led and hosted more than 80 short-term health care, ministry, and work teams to a wide range of countries. Through each experience, God has deepened our burden for the people we have served and for those who have little or no access to the Gospel.

In 2013, God led us to Brazil, where we served in remote river communities along tributaries of the Amazon River. Ministering in these isolated areas further shaped our passion and calling toward evangelism and discipleship among unreached and underserved peoples. Our desire to see the Gospel take root in remote places has continued to grow.

In 2019, God redirected our ministry toward MissionGO, where Butch now serves as the Director of Development. The experiences God has allowed us over many years of cross-cultural ministry have prepared us for this role—supporting and strengthening church planting efforts around the world through MissionGO.

We are seeking ministry partners to join us in this work. Your partnership enables the Gospel to reach places where it is rarely heard and helps equip those called to plant churches among unreached people groups. Every investment made in this ministry has eternal significance through the lives God will touch across the world.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Likewise, if countless children are born each year in remote regions and no one goes to tell them about Jesus, how will they hear?

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”
—Romans 10:14

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
