Missionaries' Kids (MKs) spend a significant portion of their youth living between cultures, in the high-demand world of ministry. As a result, they often develop undeniable strengths, but also unique challenges that are hard to fathom from a non-MK perspective. As an MK myself, my work with this people group focuses on helping multi-culturals of all ages to be aware of the influences that shaped them, the characteristics that define them, and the grief or trauma that too often still haunts them. This understanding is essential for them to grow into wholeness and flourishing.

In serving MKs, I travel globally to advocate for them with those entrusted with their care—parents, educators, mission agencies, and sending churches. Most importantly, I interact directly with MKs, coaching them at reentry retreats, teaching them in international schools, supporting them during hard transitions, mentoring them through difficult phases, and often welcoming them into my home. As we explore the Wonderful and the Hard inherent to the MK experience together, we take crucial steps toward healing, while making space to celebrate the gift of growing up MK.

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
