Jim and Sandy Bellair

Our story begins in Chicago, Illinois. We both came to know Jesus Christ as our personal Savior at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) in 1984. Jim was studying History and Sandy was studying Nursing Administration. We first met in the membership class at Moody Memorial Church in the autumn of 1986. Jim was enrolled at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and working in the Construction Trades. Sandy was employed as the Operating Room Nurse Educator at the University of Chicago Hospital and Clinics. Sensing God’s leading in our lives, we married in February 1987.

After Jim graduated with a Master of Divinity from TEDs in 1990, the Lord led us to a very fruitful ministry in the Slovak Republic and Ukraine. The Evangelistic English Language Camps, which we organized with American teams, created many opportunities for ministry with newly saved nationals and seekers—some of whom have become leaders in local national churches. Later, our ministry expanded into church planting efforts with Ukrainian Christians in communities where there was very little Christian church presence.

Currently, we are ministering with MissionGO. MissionGO is the organization with which we served when we were living in Ukraine.

What ministry has God called us to with MissionGO? Our call is to provide career and short-term ministry destinations for both college students fulfilling internships, as well as interested local church individuals and couples. We also actively pursue opportunities to use our gifts of evangelism both in the US and abroad.

What are some examples of these ministry destinations? We provide Friendship “Café” Evangelism in SE Asia; Teaching Conversational English and/or Bible Lessons in a Bible college in Thailand; Sports Ministry in SE Asia; Evangelistic Camp Ministry in Central Europe, and evangelistic Medical Missions in Laos.

We are seeking those whom God is calling to partner with us in world missions. We would be honored to help you take your first steps into God’s work abroad, as many lives are being changed by those bringing the Good News! Isaiah 52:7. We are also seeking those whom God is calling to support us in prayer and monthly financial support. Thank you.

Venture Fund
Our ministry often involves extra expenses to go towards different projects and needs we want to help meet in the community. This not for our personal support. This fund helps us to further our ministry in ways we wouldn't be able to without your help. The gift for these projects and our personal support are tax-deductible for you.
Family Gift (Not Tax-Deductible)
Contribute to their ministry by encouraging them with a small gift for Christmas or their birthday. Please understand that these types of gifts are not eligible for a tax-deductible receipt.
