MissionGO Launches the Oasis Renewal Fellowship Program

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus!

I’m honored to share with you an exciting new initiative that will refresh and uplift our missionaries in the field: the Oasis Renewal Fellowship Program.

Around the world, men and women have faithfully answered the Lord’s call to ministry, surrendering their lives to full-time service for the sake of the Gospel. These missionaries, pastors, ministry leaders, and their families often carry immense burdens, ones we seldom see, facing challenges that can take a significant toll on their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. Yet, they press on, fueled by love for Christ and a passion to see His Kingdom come.

But who cares for the caregivers? Who refreshes those who refresh others?

The Oasis Renewal Fellowship Program seeks to provide resources and support to those serving in ministry roles, offering continuing education, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

The program’s goal is to enable ministry workers to serve with greater effectiveness and longevity by providing them with opportunities to rest, recharge, and connect with fellow laborers.

Program Priorities:

Continuing Education: Elective workshops, seminars, and online courses tailored to the evolving needs of ministry workers. Topics may include conflict resolution, discipleship tools, and other ministry applications.

Fellowship and Peer Support: Facilitated small group gatherings (in-person and virtual) for ministry workers to share experiences, pray, and encourage one another.

Spiritual Renewal Retreats: Periodic retreats focused on spiritual formation, fellowship, and guided reflection, offering in-person connection and pastoral care.

Leadership Development: A mentoring program to equip ministry workers with tools to multiply their effectiveness and train others.

Retention and Well-Being: Ongoing check-ins, access to counseling, and resources for preventing ministry burnout.

Why is your investment so significant?

I ask you to consider your role in investing in the on-field needs of our missionaries. For this program to be accessible to all who need it, we must overcome very real financial barriers. Your investment helps make that possible—retreat sponsorships, honorariums for speakers, curriculum materials, and administrative costs.

Beyond the material needs, your support brings encouragement to those in the field, reaffirming their calling and “spurring one another on toward love and good deeds.”

We’ve been blessed to be able to offer aspects of the Oasis program for many years now, but now with sharpened focus, we are praying for a 2025 goal of a fully funded, comprehensive, and widely accessible fellowship program.

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
