Faithful: What Story Will You Tell?

Ann Chow and Rebecca Thornber are going to Jakarta to encourage university students and young professionals in the Indonesian church to live out our identity in Christ, holistically and with integrity through our words and actions.

We will dive into what it means to be faithful to God. Somewhere along the way, we have come to understand faithfulness to mean staying still, or resisting evil by remaining steadfast. However, in the Old and New Testaments, when God calls his people to be faithful, he guides them to step into something extraordinary and even risky. We are called to move out, take action and tell the story of Jesus through our words and deeds for God's glory. Faithful to his calling on our lives, and faithful in using the gifts he has entrusted us with. What does it look like to reclaim the biblical understanding of faithfulness today?

This will be a one-day educational workshop, where we will learn practical ways to live and speak out the redemption story in our workplaces, classrooms and neighbourhoods. God calls us to be the body of Christ, bringing healing and wholeness to ourselves, our churches and society.

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
