Eddy and Carrie Ramos have been serving as missionaries with MissionGO in the Dominican Republic since 2011. They founded a children’s ministry, “Ministerio Esperanza y Gozo” or “Hope and Joy Ministry,” in a barrio in Santiago where they bring the hope and joy of Jesus into the heart of a community known for its poverty, crime, and violence. The Ramos’ prayer is that the ministry will be a safe place where the children can come and learn about Jesus and through which they can also evangelize to the children’s families and neighbors. They minister to the children, reach out to the families, and point them to Christ. They also provide for some of the physical needs of the families through their food ministry. Their hope is that God will bless their ministry to the children and that one day He may open the door to planting a church in that neighborhood.

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of HOPE fill you with all JOY and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
