Tennemah comes from a fairly strict Muslim home. She knows very little Krio, speaking mainly Mende. For most of the other students, it is the other way around. So she has been at a bit of a disadvantage trying to learn Krio and English. Her parents have no formal education, so she receives little educational support at home. However, Tennemah’s enthusiasm for learning will take her over any hurdle she might face.

Tennemah loves to dance! She is a happy girl and ALWAYS has her hand up in class, whether she knows the answer or not. She tries so hard and is showing great improvement in learning her letter sounds. She finds it hard to talk in front of the class, but there is nothing quiet about her on the playground! She reports that the best thing about being at FCA is learning how to cut and learning bible verses.
