Alan and Tricia Smillie have been serving with MissionGO in Scotland since 2013. Alan was born in Glasgow and raised in Ontario, Canada, and he has been praying for the nation of Scotland since becoming a Christian at the age of 18.

Alan and Tricia have seen the beginnings of renewal in the country’s people and churches. Their ministry has been primarily focused along the rugged west coast of Scotland. They have been blessed to witness a local awakening to God along the coastline, and they have had the pleasure of playing a key organizational role in growing 7 worship centres along the 250 miles of the west coast of Scotland. Christians of various backgrounds have gathered for monthly worship nights to seek God in these centres. “We the People of God of the West” is a new phrase to describe the unity these Christians have felt in seeking God’s desires and His will for each community represented.

Alan and Tricia have helped to develop and serve in 2 church plants. They’ve also been involved with local radio, mental health groups, community development initiatives, and work to promote a unified Kingdom mindset among the various church denominations in the area. They remain called to serve in Scotland and are passionate about seeing churches develop healthy, intentional community fellowship for growth and transformation in Christ.
