Trip Location: Heredia, Costa Rica

Trip Dates: July 4-12, 2026

Trip Length: 7 days

Trip Cost: $1,550 USD + Airfare*

This trip will take place in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. Participants will get to know the members of Iglesia Bautista Emanuel (Emmanuel Baptist Church) and will help with sports, games, crafts, and Bible lessons for their Vacation Bible School (VBS).  There will be interpreters available to help out when needed.

In addition to helping with the four days of VBS, team members will have the opportunity to serve with a Saturday soccer ministry for 6-12 year olds in a very poor community (soccer skills are not required).

There will also be an overnight excursion to the Pacific coast where the rain forest meets the ocean, and monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and macaws are seen daily.

*Please note that prices do not include airfare transportation to country of service. Ticket prices fluctuate often due to fuel prices, demand, and dates. Flight prices to Central America generally range from $400 to $900 USD. Airplane tickets will be purchased a few months before each trip. MissionGO strives to find the best routes and rates available.

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
