Sierra Leone Village Discipleship/Evangelism

ST-Highlight

Location:  Mokanji, Sierra Leone

Dates:    Customizable

Description:

As one of the world’s poorest countries, its rates of infant and maternal mortality and life expectancy are some of the worst in the world.  MissionGO has been ministering in this needy part of the world with medical services, well-drilling, and pastoral training.  To date, over 300 well sites have been completed and many pastors are participating in an ongoing modular training program.  In this English-speaking, predominately Muslim country, the church of Jesus Christ is growing.

Based on your ministry experience, skills, and interests, this opportunity could be customized to a team or individual giftings.  Outreach could be done using a variety of approaches including:

  • sports evangelism
  • medical outreach
  • women’s ministry
  • pastoral training/encouragement
  • clean water evangelism
  • children's ministry
  • sewing outreach
  • teaching English
  • writing and photography

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
