Catch the Vision - Healthcare & Medical Missions

Send a Note Start a Campaign

Medical professionals from around the world come and work alongside national medical workers and develop programs that support national health programs at the community level. MissionGO finished a project to install solar power at the Mokanji medical clinic in 2022, ensuring a reliable source of electricity for essential medical equipment and lighting. This has enabled missionaries and local healthcare providers to deliver life-saving interventions and enhance the community’s resilience in emergencies, which allows us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with hurting people.

Status of this Initiative

Our medical clinic in Mokanji serves a community of 7,000 residents and offers care to 75-100 mothers weekly. The community has donated 15 additional acres to MissionGO to continue to develop the clinic, and additional solar power is needed to support the expansion. This allows us to minister to both their physical and spiritual well-being.

The hospital team has identified four key improvement projects that will dramatically strengthen patient care and community health:

  1. Medical Equipment and Supplies – $4,500
The hospital urgently needs an ultrasound machine, an additional oxygen concentrator, beds, tables, chairs, a printer, wheelchairs, crutches, and other vital items. With these tools, patients will no longer have to travel long distances for essential tests and treatments—journeys that are costly, exhausting, and often impossible for families. These upgrades will bring lifesaving care directly to Mokanji.
  2. Security Fencing for the Hospital Compound – $5,200
A chain link fence surrounding the hospital, staff quarters, and residences will provide much-needed safety for patients and medical personnel who live on site, ensuring a secure environment for care and service.
  3. Replacement of Metal Roofs – $8,500
Years of heavy rains have left the hospital, nurses’ quarters, and staff residences with leaking and deteriorating roofs. Replacing them during the coming dry season will protect patients, equipment, and supplies—creating a cleaner, healthier environment for all.
  4. Interior Repairs and Renovation – $3,800
Fresh paint, functional windows and screens, and informative poster boards will restore dignity to the hospital’s interior, making it a more welcoming and sanitary space for recovery and care.

GAP STUDENTS

Supporting a gap year student is an investment in a young person stepping boldly into the world to grow, serve, and discover their calling. During a gap year, students gain real‑world experience, develop maturity, and engage in meaningful work. As they serve, they deepen their relationship with God, seek His direction, and better understand the unique purpose He has for their lives.
